Justin Bieber Thanks Fans for Support, Inspiration After Club Confrontation Leads to His "Worst Birthday"

Justin Bieber gets by with a little help from his friends -- and his fans. After the "Nothing Like Us" singer posted on Twitter about what he called his "worst birthday," Beliebers all over the globe rallied to turn things around. And it looks like it worked.

On Saturday, March 2, the 19-year-old heartthrob returned to the micro-blogging site to express his appreciation for all the sweet messages from fans. "I see and saw all the posts from around the world," he wrote. "U got me smiling. Love u. Thank u."

Bieber then proceeded to retweet several of the kind shout-outs, along with a quote from his manager, Scooter Braun: "Life is a roller coaster. Just know when u dip low it is only to build excitement as u will fly high again. Enjoy the journey."

March 1 was certainly a low for the pop star. He and some of his pals -- including Will Smith's son Jaden Smith -- were celebrating his birthday in London when the party was cut short by security at Cirque du Soir, who told Bieber's team that Smith, 14, wasn't old enough to be at the club.

"There was never any mention of Jaden being there, so when he showed up, it caused problems," a source told Us of the confrontation. "They could have stayed if Jaden left, but Justin wanted to be loyal to his good friend."

Scooting through life post-break up! Jason Segel was spotted cruising through West Hollywood on Saturday, March 2 in his first appearance following his split from Michelle Williams.

Kate Middleton is Lovestruck -- by a dress! The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge did a little maternity shopping this week at a London TopShop, where she picked up a sweet flowered frock by U.K.-based clothing concession Lovestruck, a rep for the company confirms exclusively to Us.

As one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood, not to mention an Academy Award-winning director, Ben Affleck knows the price of fame. And he's usually happy to pay it -- except when it puts his kids in danger. On Friday, March 1, things got a little too close for comfort when he and his 4-year-old daughter, Seraphina, were swarmed by some particularly aggressive paparazzi outside her school.

Looks like Justin Bieber's happy birthday had a very unhappy ending. Shortly after heading out to celebrate turning 19 years old on Friday, March 1, the singer returned to Twitter with a short but telling summary of his night.

In the stunning photo, Appleby proudly shows off her growing bump in a green string bikini while posing for the camera on the beach. Appleby and Shook, who become engaged during a July 2012 trip to Ventotene, Italy, have decided to keep the gender of their baby a surprise.

"He really wanted to do it and it sounded like fun," the actress told Us Weekly of her fiance, a chef at L.A.'s Animal. "It's really made the whole pregnancy a heightened excitement because you just don't know what it's going to be!"

Appleby celebrated her baby shower on Jan. 27 and her fiance's eatery with about 50 of her female friends. The mom-to-be told Us that her pregnancy has brought her even closer together with Shook.

"When you see this guy going to all the doctor's appointments with you and you tell him you're feeling a certain way and two minutes later he's looked it up on the Internet to tell you that it's normal, you realize that you're really starting a family with somebody," she told Us, "and it's just -— there's no way to look at that person and not be more in love."

Michelle Obama Responds to Backlash Over Her Oscars Appearance: "Not Surprising"

Mobama is on to the haters. After Michelle Obama's surprise appearance (via satellite) at the tail end of last Sunday's Academy Awards was met with bemusement, confusion and, in some corners, criticism, the First Lady tells the Associated Press she's "absolutely not surprised."

"Shoot, my bangs set off a national conversation," President Barack Obama's wife, 49, said of the morning-after hubbub. The First Lady appeared in the White House, decked out in a Naeem Khan gown, with servicemen and women behind her, to present the Best Picture winner (Argo) at the conclusion of the Oscars Feb. 24. (Part of the complaint: Best Picture Director Ben Affleck -- not to mention nominee Steven Spielberg, performer Barbra Streisand and scores of other stars present during the ceremony -- are lifelong Democrats and vocal Obama supporters.)

"My shoes can set off a national conversation. That's just sort of where we are. We've got a lot of talking going on," Mrs. Obama said during a Thursday, Feb. 28 appearance in Chicago of the omnipresent Twitterverse and blogosphere. "It's like everybody's kitchen-table conversation is now accessible to everybody else so there's a national conversation about anything."

The mom to Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, explained that her Oscars appearance fit in with one of her missions as First Lady: The support the arts. Indeed, she recently hosted the director and cast of Oscar-nominated film Beasts of the Southern Wild to the White House for a Q&A session with students.

"I just don't think about that stuff," she said of the criticism. Obama was in her hometown as to mark the third anniversary of her "Let's Move" campaign against childhood obesity.

Kardashian, 28, donned the dress at Elton John's annual Oscars viewing party in West Hollywood on Sunday, Feb. 24. "It was so much fun seeing the stunning dresses, jewels, hair and makeup worn by all of the beautiful fashionistas in attendance," the X Factor co-host blogged the following day. "It truly was the ultimate people watching experience."

Lamar Odom's wife wore her highlighted brown hair down in loose waves and completed her look with a coral lip. Hough showed off her fit figure in the citrine silk crepe column dress to the Rock of Ages premiere in Hollywood on June 8, 2012.

Unlike Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest's girlfriend wore her blonde locks in a messy topknot and added an orange-red lip. She styled the look with Stephen Webster jewels.

Adam Levine, Matthew Morrison Recording a Duet!

New collaboration coming up! Matthew Morrison and Adam Levine were spotted at Capitol Studios together Feb. 9, and a source tells Us Weekly they're working on a duet.

The Maroon 5 frontman, 33, and Glee star, 34, are recording a cover of "Luck Be a Lady," the source tells Us. The song was written by Frank Loesser in 1950, and was featured in the musical Guys and Dolls. It also became one of Frank Sinatra's signature hits.

The new track will appear on Morrison's upcoming album, which is under Levine's label, 222 Records.

"Starting my own label has been a long time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening," the "Moves Like Jagger" singer said in a statement earlier this month. "I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew's forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release."

And Morrison, who previously released a self-titled album in May 2011 with Mercury Records, was happy to sign on. "Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together," he said in a statement.

The two hunks have been pals for a few years. "Matthew wanted to make a Broadway standards record," the source tells Us of Morrison, who starred in many Broadway shows before landing Glee. "And Adam loves classic records."

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Reveals Wedding Details With Justin Mikita

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is no groom-zilla, but the Modern Family star admits plotting his nuptials with husband-to-be Justin Mikita is a daunting task. "It's been a little stressful," the redheaded actor, 37, told Us Weekly Wednesday at the Tie the Knot Spring Collection bash, held at Avenue in NYC. After dating for nearly two years, Ferguson proposed to fellow actor Mikita, 27, in Mexico back in September.

Working with a wedding planner, the twosome are looking ahead to a summertime wedding, Ferguson told Us -- based in the Big Apple. "We wanted to get married in New York, because that's where it's legal, so we want to support the state that's in support of us," the Emmy nominee explained.

The vows and bash will take place in a "beautiful loft space," he added. "It's so nice -- I can't wait to see it all done." The guest list is "around the 200 mark -- which to me seems big -- but people are telling me it's not that bad."

One wedding tradition the couple aren't partaking in: A wedding party. "We aren't doing that," he said at the TieTheKnot bash. (The future spouses co-designed a "TieTheKnot" bowtie collection, with all proceeds going towards groups focused on LGBT rights.)

"He means a lot to me," Ferguson said of his man. "So it's really special."
