Cheerleader Kelsey Williams Criticized By Female Sports Blogger for Being "Too Chunky": Report

Words will never hurt Kelsey Williams. The NBA Oklahoma City Thunder cheerleader was recently criticized for her weight by CBS Houston blogger Claire Crawford, but she's trying to focus on the positives.

According to the Daily Mail, Crawford came under fire on Wednesday, Apr. 24 after she reportedly asked readers if Williams was "too chunky" to cheer. "[Williams] has been criticized by some folks in [Oklahoma] for having 'pudginess' around her waistline," she allegedly wrote. "Is this chick 'too chunky' to be a cheerleader?"

"But if she's comfortable wearing that tiny outfit and dancing for NBA fans, then good for her," Crawford said. "Besides . . . not every man likes women to be toothpick skinny. I'd say most men prefer a little extra meat on her bones."

Commenters quickly criticized the blogger's post, calling it "offensive" and "disgusting." Many also argued that the image used in the story was simply an unflattering photo. The initial story was quickly removed from CBS Houston's website, but a cached version is still online.

Williams, however, isn't letting the remarks get her down. On Twitter Apr. 24, she wrote, "'To be womanly always, discouraged never.'" She then added, "We wouldn't know what blessings were if we didn't go through trials. Thank you to EVERYONE for the compassion and love today. I'm in awe."

"We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed," she says. "But we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it any more." (With current reports saying Cyrus has hit a rough patch in her relationship with the Hunger Games actor, 23, the couple of four years has put their wedding a hold, it's unclear when the singer's interview occurred.)

The former Hannah Montana star says she's making a conscious effort to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. "We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight -- into my life and my puppies and my house –- and I just don't feel they get that privilege any more," Cyrus explains. "Like on my Twitter, I'm much more . . . not conservative, but you don't see a picture of my dogs. You don't get that personal stuff any more."

The "Can't Be Tamed" singer has the same conservative notion when it comes to her career. "A star is someone who doesn't have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that's not just showing your tits," she says. "I don't want to be a glorified model. They just walk on stage and it's all about their clothes -- or lack of clothes."

Cyrus also works hard at staying grounded while living in Los Angeles, which she knows is "not reality."

"This isn't like any other place," she acknowledges. "Everything is meant to be attractive, from the people on the sidewalks to the gold fire hydrants in Beverly Hills."

"I feel like Rapunzel," Cyrus says of the fame. "Rapunzel with a mohawk!"

After many months of seclusion, the 24-year-old British singer returned to the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton -- her first official public appearance since her pregnancy and the October birth of her first child, a son, with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

Nominated for her James Bond theme song "Skyfall," the superstar looked retro-elegant in a black, lacy gown by Burberry, with her dirty-blonde locks in an undo, finishing it off with Cartier jewels. Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, Adele didn't speak about her baby or motherhood -- but detailed the recording of "Skyfall," which was enriched, in a way, by her pregnancy.

"I was very pregnant and very emotional," she said of the recording process. "But [it was] very exciting . . . it was very good." Adding that recording a track for the 007 franchise is a "big responsibility," she gushed that "Daniel Craig is a gorgeous bond."

Back in November, Adele's pal, British comedian Alan Carr, let it slip that her little boy is "such a cutie . . . She's doing great, she's glowing!"

At the Vogue event in the designer's honor, an upbeat Gomez chatted with Chelsea Lately host Chelsea Handler, 37. The Spring Breakers star has yet to publicly comment on her split with Bieber, 18.

The exes were first linked in November 2010 after a "cuddly" IHOP date, though they denied dating until the spring of 2011. The Wizards of Waverly Place actress and the "As Long as You Love Me" singer called it quits in November 2012.

"Selena broke up with Justin about a week ago. It's been a really challenging experience over the last year because of their crazy schedules," an insider told Us Weekly at the time. "Selena definitely had some major trust issues with Justin."

The pair soon reconnected and were spotted kissing and holding hands at an American Music Awards afterparty weeks later. While vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for a New Year's trip, "They had another huge fight, and Selena won't forgive him," a source reveals in the Jan. 21 issue of Us Weekly (out now). "Selena is done with him."

In the wake of their split, Bieber was photographed smoking what appears to be marijuana on Jan. 2, just one day after a paparazzo was killed chasing his Ferrari. (Bieber was not in the vehicle at the time.)


Bieber is now being accused of assaulting Moshe Benabou, an ex-member of the Israeli army who worked as his bodyguard from March 2011 to October 2012. Benabou is seeking unspecified damages for assault and battery, in addition to $420,000 in unpaid overtime.

A source close to Bieber, however, insists the "whole thing is baseless and meritless. Justin never hit him and couldn't! He is so much smaller. This whole thing is a lie."

Henry Cavill Dating Gina Carano: Reports

Gina Carano had a hunk on her arm at the 18th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Santa Monica, Calif., Jan. 10.

The 30-year-old actress, who was nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie for Hawyire, walked down the red carpet with Man of Steel's leading man, Henry Cavill, 29. Carano (in Roland Mouret) and Cavill (in Tom Ford) stayed by each other's side throughout the evening.

According to Just Jared, the two have been spotted together multiple times within the past few months. E! News reports the former MMA fighter and the Immortals actor began dating in September 2012.

Cavill was previously engaged to champion show jumper Ellen Whitaker; they secretly split in the spring of 2012.

"There was no fallout,"  a source told Us at the time. "They just both agreed it wasn't working."

Carano is rumored to be making a surprise appearance as Wonder Woman in Cavill's new film, Man of Steel. The movie hits theaters on June 14, 2013.

Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes Trade Wedding Planning Tips on 90210 Set

Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes' 90210 characters have yet to meet their match, but in real life, the costars both have weddings in the works.

Lanter, 29, proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Angela Stacy, in May 2012, while Grimes, 23, announced her engagement to musician Josh Beech in December 2012. The costars -- whose characters were once romantically involved -- have been swapping wedding planning tips in between takes in California.

"On set we've been on and off like, 'What are you doing?' And I'm learning, too. I'm trying to plan my wedding as much as I can be involved, and I'm asking Shenae what's up with her, what kind of colors is she doing," Lanter told Us Weekly at a W Magazine and Guess event in West Hollywood Jan. 8. "I know all these crazy details about weddings that I would have never have thought of before, but I do now."



Lanter and Stacy are planning to tie the knot in the fall of 2013; Grimes recently said that she and Beech "plan to keep our special day very private."


The actors' real-life romances aside, Lanter said fans are still pulling for his character, Liam Court, to rekindle his relationship with Grimes' Annie Wilson. "There are some Liam and Annie scenes coming up -- some really really interesting ones," the actor teased.



"It's awesome to have that support," he told Us. "I don't know why [they're so fervent]. Me and Shenae joke about it all the time. We're like, 'We don't know why these fans want us together?' Because me and her, we have like a brother and sister relationship. We make fun of each other and pick on each other all the time, so it's kind of funny that the fans see that as this ultimate chemistry."

More than two decades after our favorite frenemies Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) from Beverly Hills 90210 showed up to the prom in the same black dress with oversized white bow across the chest, two Hollywood A-listers have resurrected the look.


First, on Nov. 15 at the American Cinematheque Award Gala, Jennifer Aniston wore a black-and-white Valentino gown that looked eerily similar to the one (or rather two) that caused such a stir at the fictional Beverly Hills High School. Then on Jan. 9, Mariah Carey wore the same Valentino frock to the season premiere of American Idol in Westwood, CA.

One year after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy, the singer, 31, appears to be in the best shape of her life: Flashing "underboob" in a cropped t-shirt and revealing her perfect abs and legs with a belly chain and skimpy bottoms.

GQ revealed an interior shot from the story early Thursday -- in which the "I Was Here" singer showcases her world-famous posterior in another seriously skimpy, sexy look. The superstar is set to pick up where Madonna left off at the Super Bowl next month, performing a much-anticipated half-time show.

"One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an athlete," Jay-Z's wife tells GQ. "You know how they sit down and watch whoever they're going to play and study themselves? That’s how I treat this. I watch my performances, and I wish I could just enjoy them, but I see the light that was late. I see, 'Oh God, that hair did not work.' Or 'I should never do that again.' I try to perfect myself. I want to grow, and I’m always eager for new information."



And although Beyonce is over-the-moon to be a mom, the workaholic admits that it was tough not being able to do her job toward the end of her pregnancy in late 2011. "I love my job, but it's more than that: I need it. Because before I gave birth, it was the only time in my life, all throughout my life, that I was lost," she admits. "But I've sacrificed a lot of things, and I've worked harder than probably anyone I know, at least in the music industry. So I just have to remind myself that I deserve it."



The singer and actress is also well aware of her tremendous influence. "I now know that, yes, I am powerful. I'm more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand."

Is Taylor Swift already writing the wrongs of her most recent relationship?

Just days after her split from One Direction boy bander Harry Styles, the "Red" singer was hard at work on a new project.

"Back in the studio," she tweeted cryptically on Thursday, Jan. 10. "Uh oh..."

The 22-year-old's whirlwind romance with Styles, 18, went south last week during a vacation on Virgin Gorda, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, sources told Us Weekly. They had a fight -- after which Swift cut her holiday short and flew solo back to Nashville.



"[Harry] said something he shouldn't have," one insider told Us. "This [breakup] is definitely going to be for good."

"They are 100 percent over," another source said of the couple, who were first spotted together back in November.



The Grammy-winning superstar didn't reveal any further details about her time in the studio, but she's been vocal about the fact that she regularly mines her personal relationships for new material. In the past, she has written songs about famous ex-flames including John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, and Joe Jonas.

"I've always lived by the theory that if a guy doesn't want me to write a bad song about him, he won't do bad things," she told Us in 2010. "And he shouldn't, you know?"

The former Voice coach toned down her usually eclectic wardrobe, opting for a simple white blazer and black slacks for her debut performance of the new song "Blank Page" onstage surrounded by candles.


But Aguilera, 32, wasn’t quite so calm just one day before, sources tell Us Weekly.

"She was very emotional," one insider told Us. "The song is about making mistakes and realizing you can't go back but you can start over with a blank slate."

"Christina expresses herself through her songs and this one is very emotional," the source continued. "This year is a new beginning for her and she's excited."



Another source reported that Aguilera was "sobbing" during rehearsals and even had the audience in tears while rehearsing her emotional song.

Following her performance Wednesday evening, Josh Duhamel hopped onstage to present Aguilera with the "People's Voice" award. The blonde star admitted to crying "four times" during Tuesday's rehearsals.



"Thank you for giving me this form of expression and letting me use my voice," the "Your Body" singer said in her acceptance speech. "It means so much to me. When I sing I believe it truly is the only time I can truly be myself."

"I find a home in music and I hope others can find a home in music as well."

The pregnant Duchess will have a lot to celebrate when she turns 31 on Wednesday, Jan. 9, her first birthday as a mom-to-be. But don't expect a big royal bash in her honor.

Prince William's wife will be "spending her birthday privately," a St. James's Palace rep tells Us Weekly.

In fact, the celebration is likely to be even more subdued than last year's intimate dinner for family and friends at Kensington Palace. "She just wants something low-key," a source tells Us. "I suspect she will spend it at her parents' house." (Carole and Michael Middleton live in Bucklebury, Berkshire.)

Of course, the Duchess of Cambridge already got the greatest gift of all: the news that she and Prince William, 30, will be parents in 2013.


"Trying for a baby has been their priority," a royal confidant told Us of the couple in December. "They're both excited to be focusing on a new chapter in their lives."

The men's magazine couldn't keep the singer's stunning cover under wraps -- with early images leaking online Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Making her GQ debut, Jay-Z's wife and mother to daughter Blue Ivy, 12 months, is nearly unrecognizable in her super-sexy photo. Grabbing her curly locks with both hands in a seductive pose, Beyonce, 31, shows off her amazing abs, toned legs and underboob in a cropped football jersey T-shirt and red-printed underwear.


To accessorize the skimpy ensemble, Beyonce wears a gold chain necklace, bracelet and belly chain. Beyonce's tiny undergarments also feature two zippers on either side.

And GQ promises the issue has even more sexy photos!



The magazine officially released the photo and wrote, "Oh, and mark your calendar for Tuesday, January 15 --that's the day we are putting up ALL our photos of Beyonce. (You're welcome.)"

"It was harder to lose weight the second time around," admits Kardashian, mom to son Mason, 3, and daughter Penelope, 6 months (with partner Scott Disick, 29). "I gained 45 pounds with Penelope."



The 5-foot star, now 106 pounds, feels sexier than ever -- and Disick agrees. "He likes me any way," Kardashian tells Us. "But I think his favorite is when I'm skinnier."

Together since 2006, the proud parents are still not sold on the idea of marriage. "We're just so busy with everything going on and we feel good where we are," Kardashian explains. After Penelope's July 2012 arrival, the pair plan to wait before trying for a third child.

Says Kardashian, "I think we're still adjusting to what life looks like with two!"

On Tuesday Jan. 8, the reality star, 32, and rapper, 35, were spotted in the ultra-romantic French city. Three months along, Kardashian disguised her expanding curves in an all black ensemble including a dramatic, cape-like jacket, black pants and peep-toe boots, plus a tre-chic silk scarf around her neck.



Dating since last spring, the pair shopped at the celeb-beloved, high-end Lanvin and Celine stores before dining at L'Avenue restaurant.

Before their departure, a Kardashian source told Us the couple plan to holiday in Paris "for a week just to chill. It's a little babymoon!"

Back in the States, the couple and their baby-to-be will eventually have an over-the-top abode to call home. As a source confirmed to Us, the pair recently purchased an $11 million mansion in a gated community Bel Air, Calif. TMZ reports that the couple will tear down the property's current 10,000-square-foot house to make way for a 14,000 square-foot Italian-style villa with a gym, movie theater, salon, bowling alley and other amenities.

What's the secret to Seymour's ageless style?

The actress, who is a soon-to-be grandmother of three, told Us Weekly at the premiere that she doesn't "diet or anything."

"I just happen to like reasonably healthy food and I actually haven't worked out for about three weeks," she said. "I worked out today for the first time. I was walking around country lanes in England in the cold so that burnt off a few calories," the British star explained. "But I was also eating quite a lot of Maltesers [chocolate candy], so I'm not quite sure how that works."

How does she keep herself motivated through a workout?

"My motivation is that I like to be able to move my body around," Seymour told Us. "I've had back surgery and injuries, so for me -- as much as anything -- it's a question of really being mobile and I'm just so grateful that my body's working. I do Pilates, Gyrotonics with weights -- I do a specific workout that's good for my body."

And laughter is always excellent medicine. The actress told Us she had "way too much fun" filming Freeloaders.

The Wedding Crashers star plays "one of those nasty real estate, pushy Beverly Hills ladies" in the comedy. She shared, "I had a crazy platinum wig that I picked up and decided to wear at the last second."

Wearing a black tuxedo jacket over a blue, skin-tight, strapless dress with silver-framed cutouts that exposed her ample cleavage, the three-months-pregnant E! reality star showed off her curvier-than-ever figure (but no baby bump -- yet).

The racy frock isn't exactly your typical maternity wear, but Kardashian isn't your typical first-time mother, either. Two days earlier, at an event in Calgary, Canada, the 32-year-old brunette beauty donned a different but equally revealing ensemble: a body-hugging Dolce and Gabbana skirt suit over a sheer blouse and black bra.

Speaking to Us Weekly about her pregnancy on New Year's Eve, just one day after boyfriend Kanye West announced the happy news at a concert in New Jersey, the Kourtney and Kim Take Miami star said: "I have felt good. I haven't had any morning sickness, but it still isn't the easiest. People always say it's easy and fun. It's definitely an adjustment learning about your body and stuff like that.

Still, the mom-to-be couldn't be happier. "It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us," she blogged, referring to her late father Robert Kardashian, Sr. -- who died of esophageal cancer in 2003 -- and West's mother, Donda, who passed away in 2007.

"Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family," she added. "Happy New Year!!!"
